The white powder on grape skins is a natural wax substance called "the bloom".
It protects grapes from insects and prevents evaporation of water.
It's definitely harmless to the human body!
The more blooms there are, the better quality ripe grapes are.

Move to the vineyard.
Take one cluster of grapes, and when you finish eating, pick the next cluster.
You can take your harvest home for an extra fee.
